According to Wikipedia, Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). The disease was first identified in 2019 in Wuhan, the capital of China's Hubei province, and has since spread globally, resulting in the ongoing 2019–2020 coronavirus pandemic. Common symptoms include fever, cough, and shortness of breath.

How has coronavirus affected rhinos?

Coronavirus has affected people all over the world but it's also had a knock on impact on animals like rhinos. Now that most of the world is in lockdown and people can't visit the reserves where they live, the money to help the rhinos has dried up. Money from tourism and conservation charities helps pay the wages of people who look after endangered rhinos and anti-poaching rangers who help protect the animals from harm. It's thought that because of this illegal poaching could increase - putting these animals at even more risk. More Reading Here
